Ok, coated af pupusas with rice and beans! Pork is better than asada. Get cheese. Chile rellano was good too. If u order ddoordash, keep in mind descriptions are ai generated and don't match what you might get. Also not in English. Also they have messed up my order 4 times.... also it takes a while to come out if youre in person. But it's so good.
This place takes me back to El Salvador! The food is made so exact to how things are made in El Salvador! The portions are huge for the price. I love taking home pupusas and tamales. Unfortunately, parking is tight but the staff and food make up for the wait! Definitely recommend it!
delicious pupusas. i cant wait to come back. i got a cheese one and a chicken and cheese pupusa and i cant pick a favorite. i also had a chicken tamale i forgot to take a pic of, but that was also delicious. people were nice and the space was small but cute. i'll be back very soon!
As a Yelper, I pride myself in knowing a lot of cuisines. However, pupusas were something that I had never tried before. My husband had them for take out at work and kept telling me to try them out. So he brought me home a chicken, bean/cheese, pork, and zucchini pupusa. I'm not sure how to describe these little pockets of joy. Perhaps they are like closed quesadilla or even a stuffed thick filled flatbread? Well whatever they are, they made my day! When he brought them all home, they were a little cold, so I put them on my frying pan to warm them up. This was perfect and wow those pupusas are so tasty. My favorite was probably the chicken one, but I also loved the bean and cheese. They come with a little picked salad and this liquidly red salsa. Oh that salsa! I just kept dipping my pupusa in it- I could even drink it by itself LOL. I'm not a salad person, so I never tried that part of the dish. The only reason I did not give it a solid 5 was because the pupusas were inconsistent. Some leaked out, while others were contained within their pastry. I prefer them all contained so that the flavor is uniform. Overall, I would come back again. I already have three times. Try it out!
I was in the area for work and wow such a yummy stop. Food: I ordered a popusa and tamale de gallina. Service: The young guy at the counter hands down 10/10 customer service. he was very patient and explained some of their dishes. Ambiance: Very casual
Reached there almost at the closing time though still were greeted with the same cheer and warmth as if was the start of the day. An absolute sign of great customer service. Parking can get a bit tight though we got in over there late and we're able to secure a spot for ourselves in the parking lot that is right behind the restaurant. While Pupuseria Los Dubon may not boast an upscale setting, it more than compensates with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cozy and unpretentious interior exudes authenticity, making it the perfect spot for a casual and delicious meals. On top of that the service is a true reflection of Salvadoran hospitality - friendly, warm, and attentive. The staff made us feel like cherished guests from the moment we arrived (even though we were between them and the exit having reached there last minute) . Their knowledge of the menu and their enthusiasm in explaining Salvadoran dishes was a delightful surprise. Before i get to what we ordered for the table, their pupusas are to die for and nothing short of extraordinary. These stuffed corn tortillas are handcrafted to perfection, with a delectable array of fillings. We ordered Frijoles Con Queso, Jalapeno Con Queso (pupusas) along with 2 orders of Pescado Frito (such amazing fried fish) and Plato Las Dubon. Their fried fish was done to absolute perfection and so were the pupusas and the meat platter as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the food in every morsel that we ate. All in all the restaurant gives an excellent choice for a budget-friendly and satisfying meal. We are definitely going back to those savory Pupusas and amazing customer service that Pupuseria Los Dubon has to offer. Cheers!!!!
Papusa Cake Since 2009, Pupuseria Los Dubon (PLD) has been serving up some of the most authentic Salvadoran fare in town, ironically at a former Taco Bell location. They have a second location** in Menlo Park, with hopefully more on the way to help bring this delicious cuisine to the masses. The Good: *Fast-casual restaurant (i.e., order at window, seat yourself and food is brought out to you) *All their food is handmade in-house *Small, covered outdoor dining space *Very friendly service *First timer? Get the Plato Los Dubón! This gigantic smorgasbord has a little bit of everything they have to offer from their papusas and empanadas to tamales and fried plantains. And for $30, it's a great meal for two people or one hungry Yelper. :8) *Make sure you ask for their Curtido to go along with the papusas. It's like a less pungent Salvadoran version of Kimchi that goes great on top of papusas. The Meh: *Wasn't a fan of their fried plantains, as they ate very dry. I prefer the sweeter, softer version, but that's just me. The Ugly: *Location is kinda sus in an unincorporated area of Campbell next to a gun shop. TLDR: Great traditional Salvadoran cuisine right in our backyard. **They had a 3rd location in DT Willow Glen, but I just learned that it's now closed. :(
